Abstract

The database offers researchers and others interested in the history of cinema a reconstruction of the program of Brno cinemas in the years 1918-1945. They will also find information about where the cinemas were located, their capacity, and the owners of licenses to operate them. The second part of the database offers transcripts of interviews with eyewitnesses who themselves often visited these cinemas before 1945. The database contains 50+ cinemas , 9 000+ films, 27 000+ programmes, 51 interviews.
