RapCor

The database is being created primarily to provide source material for building language corpora and other linguistic applications based on rap (hip-hop) music lyrics. Since 2009, it has primarily focused on Francophone works; since 2024, it has been gradually expanded to include other languages, starting with Czech. It documents artists (biographical data) and their works (usually albums and singles), which are recorded in the form of metadata (bibliographic information) and digitized representations (most often CDs). Song lyrics are analyzed and formatted for corpus and lexicographical processing.
